Welcoming Spring
It's the beginning of March, and it's actually starting to feel like spring again. The sun has been shining, and the temperature is at that point where it's cold until you stand in the sunlight for a while. I'm glad to finally be out of the introspective months honestly, spring has always been a more creative time for me. I feel like I wake up with the weather, and for 4ish months I've been sleeping soundly inside myself. Motivation is hard from November-February. Even more so in January and February specifically. The moment I feel the first ray of sun with just the slightest bit of warmth I feel like I dethaw mentally. My motivation comes back full swing, which is probably why I obsessively started making this website moments after finding neocities with no prior desire to even make a website.
Even so, I've been struggling with enjoying it entirely because I'm leaving my fiancé for a few months before my study starts and I can return to their country (I finally got accepted to a study in their country! I'm currently just visiting). I'm trying to enjoy the time I have with them though, and I'm looking forward to the season as a whole even if I'm spending it apart from them.
Just last week when the weather started warming up we bought a flower that hadn't bloomed yet, and it's been slowly opening up over the week which has been really nice to see. It's supposedly a flower that doesn't need any water at all, so it's just been doing it's thing. I'm not really sure how that works, but it's not dying so I have to trust the label. I have always been meaning to learn more about gardening but I have never taken the time to do it. Maybe this spring would be a good chance to pick up a gardening book and see how much I can learn from it. Maybe I should make a page where I store notes about things I self study.
Anyways, this is my first blog post pretty much ever. I never really wrote blogs even on the old internet, so this is a pretty new concept to me. I'm not sure what I'll write about all the time but I'll hopefully get the hang of it eventually.
